HASSL launches new women’s safety podcast, backed by partner Pod

Pod and HASSL come together for unique new partnership, as Pod builds out its Eden programme to drive positive societal change

      • Summary

Pod has partnered with global women’s safety movement HASSL to launch HASSL’d – a brand-new podcast available from today. The series sponsorship is part of a wider “HASSL Pioneer” partnership focused on creating cultural and systemic change for women, as the new podcast aims to put women’s safety at the centre of the conversation - literally.

HASSL’d takes the conversations HASSL has built with its global community into long-form audio and video – bringing together well-known guests, experts, campaigners, HASSL partners and people of all genders to talk honestly about harassment, misogyny, relationships, work, culture and the everyday realities women are still expected to navigate.

The numbers prove this work is more crucial than ever. HASSL’s own research finds 91.7% of respondents had experienced some form of harassment, while 82% said they believed training programmes for men and bystanders could help reduce public harassment - a finding that reinforces HASSL’s core belief in the importance of educating men.

The new podcast will tackle these issues without losing the humour, honesty and personality that have built HASSL’s large global online community. Alongside deeper conversations, the show will feature regular segments, including asking guests to rate green flags and red flags (rebranded as ‘green lights’ and ‘red lights’, as a nod to the Pod partnership) of friends and partners, quick-fire research and listener dilemmas.

The partnership builds on the two organizations’ collaboration since the start of 2026, with Pod becoming a close ally and supporter. Ed Airey, Chief People Officer at Pod, has spoken at in-person events hosted by HASSL and was interviewed alongside HASSL Founder Amy Watson on BBC Radio 5 about the importance of their work. By partnering with Pod, HASSL embarks on the next stage of their wider strategy plan, HASSL Pioneers: shifting the responsibility off women to ‘stay safe’ by working with businesses, policymakers and those who have power to enact change and create safe environments – making those precautions no longer necessary.

Looking to tackle head-on the systemic challenges facing society today, Pod has started to build Eden at Pod, a new programme providing real support towards the causes they care most about - building a representative workforce, helping their people to thrive through progressive policies and allowing the communities they operate in to grow stronger. From creating safe and supportive spaces for women that set them up to succeed, to creating clear and meaningful routes into the world of work for young people, Pod is a business that looks to give back and create opportunities for all.

Alongside its sponsorship of HASSL’d, Pod will also partner with HASSL as a ‘pioneer’, as HASSL begins to partner with major organisations to create industry blueprints for systemic change in women’s safety. With this, Pod will look to build initiatives to create a safer world inside the workplace and to the general public, taking the partnership beyond awareness and into action.

Amy Watson, founder of HASSL, said:
“We’re thrilled to be launching our new podcast, HASSL’d – we’re so proud of the work we do in providing education in an accessible way so that everyone, especially men, is able to understand their role in creating a safer world for women. We’re really selective about the organisations we work with, because HASSL has never been interested in partnerships that amount to putting a logo next to the words ‘women’s safety’. We want businesses to actually be part of the change.

“What excited us about Pod was that so much of that work was already happening internally. They’re openly looking at workplace culture, representation and the barriers women face, and they were willing to invest in a platform that asks some uncomfortable questions rather than shy away from them.”

Melanie Lane, CEO at Pod, said:
"Inspired by my own experiences, and by the people I hope to set an example for, I'm delighted that we're working with HASSL to create a better future for women. The success of our industry, and countless others, depends on women's voices being heard at every level. It's not enough for women's experiences to be acknowledged; women must be represented among the decision-makers. However, women can only show up in that way when they feel seen, supported and safe.

HASSL is doing fantastic work to provide the tools and resources that drive real change, and we're proud to partner with them. Through our Eden at Pod programme, we hope to build a community of like-minded partners who can create meaningful impact together, because achieving lasting change is something none of us can do alone."

Pod was recognised in the 2026 Inspiring Workplaces Awards for its people-first culture, placing in the top five among medium-sized employers and receiving recognition in the Leadership category. It is also a founding partner of Global Women in EV Day, a signatory of The 49 Collective Charter, and has introduced policies and employee initiatives focused on inclusion, wellbeing and equality.
