What happens if my solar panels generate more electricity than I use?

If you generate more electricity than you use, your home battery can store the excess energy for later, as long as there's available capacity. Any remaining electricity may be exported to the grid, depending on your system's export arrangements. If you want to be paid for the electricity you export, you'll need an eligible export tariff such as a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariff. Eligibility, rates and terms apply.
