Pod Rewards is a programme created by Pod to reward customers for smart charging using their Pod Point home charger. By smart charging, customers are charging their vehicle when it’s cheapest for them, based on their tariff, and during times when demand on the electricity grid is lower. It also means customers no longer need to spend time managing a charging schedule, we take care of it, ensuring charging happens at the cheapest times. There’s no cost to sign up and rewards accumulate automatically after every smart charging session. The more a customer smart charges, the more cash that can be earned – rewarding them with up to £100 per year.
Smart charging helps manage the use of electricity more evenly throughout the day. When lots of people charge at the same time (usually early evening), it places extra pressure on the grid. Smart charging shifts some of that activity to periods of lower demand, typically overnight.

We manage the charging schedule, automatically adjusting it based on your charging requirements, tariff information (like if you have a low off-peak overnight window), and information from the grid – ensuring charging happens at the best time for the grid and when it’s cheapest for you.
3. Rewards accumulate in the background
Every time you smart charge your vehicle, you’ll earn cash rewards.
If you need to charge right away, you can ‘Boost’ to override smart charging and start charging your vehicle immediately.
