As the use of renewable energy in our energy system increases, we can help balance demands on the grid by adjusting energy usage to match the peaks and troughs of wind and solar generation.

All you have to do is plug in your car and we’ll do the rest - ensuring your car is always charged when your energy prices are cheapest.

Whenever you smart charge, you'll be earning rewards that can be withdrawn as cash.

We currently support all single and two-rate energy tariffs.

If you're on a smart tariff, you can still use your Pod Point charger, but you won't be eligible for Pod Rewards. This is because smart tariffs give your energy supplier control over when your vehicle charges, which means we can't manage smart charging on your behalf.

Smart tariffs include Intelligent Octopus Go, Octopus Intelligent Drive Pack, Octopus Agile, OVO Charge Anytime, Scottish Power EV Optimise, E.ON Next Drive Smart, and other similar tariffs.

Pod Rewards is our way of saying thank you for smart charging. Every time you smart charge at home, you earn cash back. Cash builds up in your Wallet in the Pod Home app, and once your balance hits £10 or more you can withdraw straight to your bank account.

You can earn up to £100 every year, just by doing what you'd do anyway.

To get started, add your bank account in Account → My bank accounts. And when you've earned enough, tap Withdraw and your cash is on its way — most payments land in your account straight away.

One thing to note — Boost sessions, solar charging and basic charging don't earn rewards. Smart charging is where the magic happens.

Pod Power by EDF is an exclusive EV tariff available to Pod customers. It's designed to work alongside your Pod Point charger and Pod Rewards, so you can smart charge at home on a low off-peak rate and save on your charging costs.

The tariff covers your whole home, not just your EV charging. EDF are the energy supplier, and you'll sign up directly with them once your charger is ordered.

Both options include your Pod Point charger, Which? endorsed installation, Pod Rewards and access to Pod Power by EDF tariff. The difference is in how you pay and what's included.



Pay upfront is a one-off payment from £999 and comes with a 3-year warranty on both charger and installation.



Subscribe is £99 upfront and £34/month for 36 months. As well as your charger and installation, you’ll get 2 extra years warranty (5 in total) and our 48-hour Repair, Replace, Recharge service, so if something goes wrong we'll have a solution within 48 hours.


Whichever you choose, you'll be smart charging and earning cash with Pod Rewards from the start.
